"What I Feel" is about the insecurities that come along with developing feelings towards someone new, and the desire for these feelings to be mutual.

In 2018 I was asked by Allegria, a local choir in the village where I live, if we could work together on a single. This single would be their first original song, and it would be my first experience in working with a whole choir. Mid-October 2018 we linked up, and in just a couple of hours we managed to create the instrumental for this new song. A few weeks later Allegria had written lyrics to the song, which would from than on be called "What I Feel".

In March 2019 Allegria performed the song in its current version on their annual showcase, and prior to that premiere I had the chance to listen to the song with lyrics - all live - for the first time.

This was such a powerful moment to me, since it was the first time that I had no idea what one of my songs would sound like. Needless to say, I was super excited, not only by the quality of the performance, but also by the enthusiasm of everyone in Allegria.

Fast forward a couple of months, and we’re working hard to not only record "What I Feel", but also to make the instrumental more expressive in its storytelling. This wasn’t easy, since we had to make sure that the instrumental would never overpower Allegria itself.

In the end "What I Feel" turned out very mature, with a song that tells a story through lyrics AND music. I hope you love it as much as we all did creating it.
